The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results and official scorecards for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) June session on its official website. Lakhs of candidates across the country, who had been eagerly awaiting their results for quite some time, can now view them by entering their application number and date of birth.

Exam conducted for 84 subjects:
The examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various cities in the country, covering 84 different subjects. This exam serves to select eligible candidates for the roles of 'Assistant Professor' in universities and colleges nationwide, as well as for the 'Junior Research Fellowship' (JRF). A record number of students participated in this prestigious examination this time.

Exam held with transparency and tight security:
In light of irregularities reported in competitive exams recently, the NTA conducted the UGC-NET exam with stringent security measures and high transparency. Biometric attendance, CCTV surveillance, and jammers were implemented at all centers. Following the exam, a provisional answer key was released to invite objections from students; the final results were prepared only after addressing these objections.

Excitement regarding cut-offs and JRF qualification:
Along with the results, the NTA has also released subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks. Students who have qualified for the JRF will receive an attractive monthly fellowship amount from the government to pursue a PhD at prestigious research institutes and universities across the country. There is a celebratory atmosphere in the homes of successful candidates, as this result marks a significant milestone in their academic careers.

Doors open to new opportunities in higher education:
For candidates who have passed the UGC-NET exam, vast opportunities for teaching and research in the field of higher education have now opened up. Public and private universities across the country will now be able to recruit these qualified candidates as Assistant Professors. Students who were unsuccessful this time need not be disheartened; instead, they can start preparing for the next exam, as it is conducted twice a year.
