Higher Education Minister Roji M. John says regulations by a subcommittee tasked after petitions post the 2018 murder of SFI leader Abhimanyu M. at Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam will be implemented only after stakeholder consultations and Syndicate approval. The draft borrows from Mahatma Gandhi University’s 2005 code of conduct model, as directed by Kerala High Court.
